Welcome to Ehsan’s Space
I am a Doctoral Candidate at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, specializing in Management Information Systems (MIS). I hold a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Information Technology Management from the University of Tehran. My interdisciplinary research focuses on how technology reshapes social dynamics, bridging across engineering, complex adaptive systems, social psychology, and organization theory.
My doctoral pursuit addresses Digital Collective Behavior within contexts such as online communities and social media. Recent studies include the propagation of emotions on X (formerly Twitter), technology-enabled self-organization in disaster relief, and joint consumption in the movie market. I leverage computational modeling, virtual lab experiments, and econometrics to analyze these dynamics. I’ve presented at INFORMS, AOM, ICIS, AMCIS, and the SIGDSA Symposium. Beyond research, I blog, volunteer, and actively engage with AOM, AIS, and IEEE, where I have held leadership roles.
I am on the 2024-2025 Academic Job Market.
